Carol:

I made
this beautiful purse as a special order for a "mother" to give to her
daughter. Turned out it was the 16 year old daughter all along
and Mom wouldn't pay so someone has the opportunity to pickup a nice
handmade purse at a nice discount.
Purse is made with
chocolate brown elkskin
Shoulder strap is 37 inches long from corner to corner of purse
Purse has been double hand laced with hand cut lacing
Coins on front of purse are 4 buffalo head nickels with
buffalo side up and an old U.S. Silver Dollar reproductionwith Eagle
side up
Various color French glass luster beads
Various color glass Crow beads
Various color glass whitewheart trade beads
Tibetan bone beads
Round and Fluted nickel plated metal beads
Purse is 9 x 12
Patti:
This is a 6 x
9 1/2 (usable area) inch elkskin medicine pouch. It uses the
natural edges of the leather on the front flap and the bottom
fringe. The beads include Tibetan hand carved bone beads, glass
Crow beads, glass trade beads, glass whitehearts and glass French
luster beads. We do not use any plastic beads. The other
ornamentation consists of black abalone shell claws, an ancient buffalo
tooth from an old buffalo jump, an ancient wolf tooth from an ancient
buffalo jump, several handcarved bone claw replicas and an actual
mountain lion claw. The button is a hand made elk antler
button. This medicine bag has belt loops attached. This bag is
completely handmade.

Brooke: Is this the
correct medicine bag?

This is a large 6 x 12 inch
medicine bag. It can have either belt loops or a shoulder strap
or both if desired. The front of the bag is gold elkskin with a
natural edge fringe. The back and flap is dark brown
elkskin. I have not yet decided on a button but it will probably
be a antler button. The beads on the front drop are various
colored crow beads. The center pendant is a hand carved red
pipestone buffalo pendant. All these beads can be changed out for
whatever colors you wish. The lacing is done in alternate colors.
